Using mason jars for baby

These work all the way from newborn to toddlerhood and beyond!

You'll need:

Quilted crystal Jelly jars. The quilting allows them to freeze and thaw without cracking. I saved my ACE hardware coupons, but another great place to look is the thrift store!

Nipples: I recommend como tomo or mason bottle. The former is definitely the cheaper option, but if you need a lid, I recommend the latter.

You'll want:

Jar sleeves: I have used Jar jackets and mason jar lifestyle. They both work well. Mason bottle also has some available.

Plastic lids: the rings rusted pretty easily, so I found the plastic lids kept them stored well. You will still need the rings to hold on the nipples. I used the lids from Ball.

Bottle warmer: the regular mouth jars fit most warmers. I used the kiinde, but the 4 oz jars were a bit tricky to fish out sometimes.

Uses: I was able to pump directly into them, but they get a little heavy, so I would pump into my provided bottles then transfer to 4 or 8 oz bottle for freezing.

They can easily be thrown into the dishwasher to get clean. Sanitizing is also a breeze.

Even if you are using formula, they don't hold onto the smell like plastic does!
